Summary

Cylindroma is a very rare, benign adnexal tumor, most frequently occurring on the scalp and often reaching considerable size. Although histologically mostly benign, multiple lesions may cause significant cosmetic and psychological burden, and in rare cases can interfere with daily functioning. We present the case of a female patient with a long-standing history of multiple cylindromas, first appearing during adolescence. Until her age of 46, it was untreatable condition. She was referred to our department and between 2021 and 2025 she underwent multiple surgical procedures. Multiple lesions underwent curettage removal and were shaved and managed by secondary intention healing, with excellent cosmetic outcomes despite the extent of the disease.

Key words

cylindroma – curettage – shaving reduction – secondary intention healing – head – face
