Traumatic defects of the nasal tip pose both functional and aesthetic challenges in reconstructive surgery. The main challenges include the limited availability of local tissue – particularly the lack of mobile tissue – need to provide both structural support and adequate skin coverage, and three-dimensional complexity of nasal anatomy, which requires a symmetrical aesthetic outcome. Our case report describes a 50-year-old woman with a tissue-loss injury of the nasal tip and the nasal ala. We describe in detail the reconstruction of this defect using a composite graft and present the results after 8 months.
